The 3 valley properties ‘Corner Camp’, ‘Boundary’ and ‘’Pavels’ combined with ‘Timbarra Plateau’ total over 25000 acres. These flow along the Demon Fault which is clearly visible on a satellite map. The Plateau can be seen rising above the valley to the north from the confluence of Demon Creek and the Timbarra/Rocky River.
Cattle are still walked up to the Timbarra Plateau property from the river properties ‘Man From Snowy River’ style. Tim’s great-grandfather was known as Rocky Jack because of his extensive holdings.
The Petrie family have been in Tenterfield since 1860 and have owned properties in the valley for over 100 years.
